Scheduling evaluations is generally done from four to six weeks from the date of request. In special instances this can be expedited.
Reports are generally available within two weeks of an evaluation, assuming records have been provided and no further diagnostic studies are required.
We have offices in the SF Bay Area and the San Joaquin and Sacramento Valleys. These include San Jose, Watsonville, Foster City, South San Francisco, Sacramento, Modesto (Ceres), Los Angeles, and Fresno. All records are requested to be sent to our main office in Foster City.
Our evaluations are conducted in comfortable and convenient-located settings in a manner that is thorough, yet respectful, unbiased, and with dignity. Spanish-speaking applicants are questioned directly by Dr. Reis in their native language underscoring a sense of empathy and connection not normally present in similar circumstances. The doctor's post-graduate training as a chiropractic orthopedist, girded by years of clinical experience, qualifies him to more fully assess and appreciate both spine and limb conditions not normally associated with chiropractic practice.
Additionally, applicant's are encouraged to undergo a (no-additional-cost) pre-consultation history taken on the phone by a qualified historian, thereby corroborating the history taken on exam day while minimizing in-office time. This reduces time commitment and possible exposure to common (cold/flu) pathogens often associated with medical settings. Intake forms are provided in advance for the same end. Lastly, a "Preliminary Findings" summary is typically provided by fax or email to all parties within two (2) business days of the exam day unless otherwise requested.
Reports are comprehensive yet comprehensible, using a style that is professional and legible with opinions which are always supported and based on best-practice opinion and substantial medical evidence. A quick reference Summary Page is provided as a "cover" for the convenience of the reader. Dr. Reis's training (Masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language) results in thorough, impeccably written, and easy-to-read reports honed to an art.
Finally, the doctor's 40 years of clinical experience, training and life experience combined with a thoughtful interactive style "between equals" typically results in an injured person's sense that (s)he has been heard and fairly considered!
Scheduling evaluations is generally done from four to six weeks from the date of request. In special circumstances this can be expedited.
Because our evaluations are comprehensive, examinees should be advised they may be in the office between 90 to 120 minutes.
Two weeks to ten days before exam day, the injured should expect to receive (and take) a phone call from the following phone number : (310) 870-9733 Someone will be asking them questions about their injury for up to 30 minutes in their native language.
The examinee will be sent forms by mail to be completed in advance of their evaluation date and told to bring these with them to their appointment.
